Second Floor, Second Home
The
existing one story home was in perfect condition with every space
beautifully decorated and furnished. But accommodating a professional recording studio, home offices and a growing family, the owners wanted a second master suite and bedrooms and a media room. We devised a design and
structural scheme to completely bridge the existing home and add a new
entry and stair foyer, only opening up to the existing house when all
work was complete. With careful scheduling, the shell was watertight
from day one, roofed in a week and the project was substantially
complete in three months with only furnishings and decorating remaining.
